Project: Fun House // Client: FriendsWithYou // Project Overview: Originally created for an interactive show at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in 2008, the FriendsWithYou “Fun House” installation has developed into an evolving art piece featured throughout the world. Following the first installation, the FriendsWithYou “Fun House” was redeveloped for SCOPE Art Fair during Art Basel Miami 2008. SCOPE commissioned FWY to build a 4,000 sq ft village complete with a magical bounce house, FWY store & fine art gallery, a romper room, restaurant, snack bar, and custom seating throughout. Over 30,000 people of all ages and from around the world attended. The FriendsWithYou “Fun House” in SCOPE Art Fair 2008 gained international recognition and praise as one of the most exciting, entertaining, and physically impressive experiences of Art Basel. In its third and largest installment to date, the FWY “Fun House” has made its international debut in Germany for Pictopia, one of Europe’s most distinguished design art fairs curated by the Haus der Kulturen der Welt Museum in Berlin. In the future, the “Fun House” will continue to develop and travel, spreading its magic and smiles throughout the world.
